Raised in Los Angeles, I was blessed to have been exposed to many different cultures. My parents taught my siblings and me to be fearless and inventive cooks, open to trying anything at least once. Our meals usually consist of a well blended mix of different hemispheres, intermingled with colors, textures, flavors and aromas so that they harmonize and complement one another.

I began my quiet passion and intense obsession for creating sweets in 1995. As an Assistant Manager at a sweet shop in San Luis Obispo, I tapped into my knowledge and experiences to create many treats from scratch. Not only did I find pleasure in making sweets, my favorite memories were the customers who came in. No matter which mood they were in when they entered the sweet shop, they would always leave happy.

Along with confectionary experience, I also bring financial skills to Sugar Bliss Sweets after a ten year career in the accounting industry. After a decade of spreadsheets and software, I decided that it was time to follow my heart, unfold my dreams and allow my creativity to take flight.

I take pleasure in pushing the boundaries of flavors and I must thank my “guinea pigs” for the cooperation of their taste buds. Without all the tasting parties I continue to have with them, my sweets would not be available to you. It has been a glorified ride for me to be able to offer desserts to those with food allergies. My path to food allergy-free baking stemmed from a pathetic defeat at a supermarket aisle in 2002. No where in sight could I find anything that looked remotely delicious, as well as being fruit sweetened and yeast-free. I found myself craving sweets and unsatisfied with a piece of fruit, I began experimenting in my kitchen.

My ultimate goals are to help create new memories and celebrations in customers' lives along with helping them to enjoy sweets with less guilt. In the near future, I hope to have my very own sweet shop that will allow me to continue to make a difference in people’s lives every day.
